Chicago won the bid as the U.S. representative for the 2016 Summer Olympics. People around the world only know Chicago for Al Capone and in recent years Michael Jordan. So if Chicago wins the bid as the host, it's possible people still fear Capone or they maybe they want to meet Michael Jordan. Or they want to meet Oprah. Or Jerry Springer.
