DePaul beat Kansas State last night to advance to the quarterfinals of the NIT. People aren't excited because it's not the NCAA Tournament. I'm happy because the Demons beat the Wildcats on the road and they beat a Bob Huggins team. After all those years of Cincinnati beating on us, we finally get one on him.

Here is a picture I took back in 1992 or 1993. It'a road game for DePaul as they visit Marquette at Milwaukee's Bradley Center. Since then, DePaul has been in the NCAA's twice and the NIT six times. Who would have thought the Tommy Kleinschmidt era(1991-1995) would be the end of consecutive postseason appearances.
